Khaleb Brooks uses archives, memory, and personal experience to reframe history and healing. Selected for The Wake, London's first memorial to Transatlantic Slave Trade victims, Brooks was also a Sundance Trans Possibilities Fellow. Recent highlights include Jupiter’s Song at the International Slavery Museum, residencies in Brazil, Los Angeles, and Tate Modern and performances at Onassis in Athens and the Venice Biennale, sparking global conversations on race, identity, and liberation.

2023 | Brighter Sound - Teaching Artist Workshop - Delivered workshops to artists participating in the Here to Remember Residency.
2023 | Onassis Air Fellowship - Researched sites of memory and African diasporic storytelling in Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, Brazil.
2022 - 2023 | Tuxedo Artist in Residence - Participated in a live/ work residency in Los Angeles, California. Created and showcased new works during Frieze LA and conceptualized events centering artistic activation.
2022 - 2023 | Tate Modern - External Curator - Designs programming and selects artists for Tate’s Artists in Residence Programme. Facilitates Development Days for artists and offers one on one career and artistic development.
2019- 2022 | Tate Artist in Residence Programme - Delivers artistic and social justice oriented workshops to students, Tate’s Learning Department staff and to selected UK primary school teachers. Designing and implementation of creative pamphlets.
2021- 2022 | Metal Culture - Mentorship, access to facilities and grounding research in local communities in Liverpool.
